Customized for Your Unique Adventure

Leave the Ordinary Behind.
Make Your Wedding Day Memorable.

You are unique and your elopement should reflect that.

So be unapologetically YOU. Imagine exchanging your vows in a tucked-away spot where no one hears your words. Or say them in front of a few of your closest family members and friends. Exchange them at the end of your driveway or at the ends of the earth.

The best thing about an elopement is it’s entirely up to you! I’m down for adventures of ANY size, and we will customize a wedding experience that’s a perfect fit for you.

Eloping Keeps Your Focus On Each Other.

Stay present in the moment and let me handle the details.

You shouldn’t have to worry about securing permits, paying entrance fees, researching licenses, or mapping out GPS coordinates! You can get the pristine and natural setting, the privacy, the personal touches, and everything else you’ve always dreamed of in an elopement. But leave the logistics to me, so you can focus on being present with your partner! This is the day to celebrate you as a couple, and this is where your focus should be.

Hey! It’s Me, Andrea, Your Photographer!

I married the love of my life in a micro wedding in 2010. It was perfect, and I wouldn’t have changed a thing! Our photographer was a close friend, and the images totally reflected that. We were comfortable around her, and she truly captured our vibe.

Your photographer should feel like that—a close friend! And that’s why I spend the time to really get to know you and your vision for one of the most important days of your life. I absolutely cherish the photos from my wedding, and it’s so important to me that you feel the same about yours.

Worth. Every. Penny.

I am so in love with the elopement photos Andrea took, and I’m glad we decided to go for her biggest package. We had our intimate elopement in Crested Butte one day, and we also did a ‘bridal session’ the day before – just me – and I’m so thankful that we immortalized my gorgeous dress with a dedicated photo shoot in this breathtaking location! (I never would have thought to do this, so thank you Andrea for the idea!)

Not only is Andrea incredibly talented and professional, but she is a total blast to work with. She made taking photos so fun, and the images couldn’t be more stunning. Can’t recommend her enough.

Do I Really Need An Entire Day For My Elopement?

Hear me out.

A big, traditional wedding means booking a ceremony site and a reception hall large enough for all your guests which gets expensive. Use that time and budget for an elopement that’s an authentic reflection of who you are as a couple about to embark on an amazing life together.

Your elopement will be an adventure and it can be a day, a weekend, or even a week. But we think you should plan it for at least an entire day and have it professionally and lovingly photographed so that it will:

  • Portray your unique love story

  • Help your friends and family see it as though they were there

  • Bring back all the memories and raw emotion of your day

What Will My Elopement Day Look Like?

Happy tears and smiles with lots of laughter sound okay for your wedding day?

Those will be a given, but if you could wave a magic wand and see your best day unfolding, how would it look?

  • Where in the world are you?

  • What season is it?

  • What fun activities are you and your guests getting into?

  • Who is in attendance?

The Possibilities Are Endless.

With my experience covering more than 200 weddings, I know firsthand that each elopement is unique. Yours will be, too.

Check out my Elopement Portfolio to start envisioning exactly what is possible for your adventure elopement. I can help you plan a day that is free from stress, filled with fun, and beautifully documented for generations to come.

With Me, You Have Options.

Elopements aren’t one-size-fits-all, so neither are my packages.

Enjoy the calm of an intimate picnic beside an alpine lake before the fam shows up for the ceremony. Shout your vows atop a fourteener and then backpack for the next three days. Frolic in fields of wildflowers after your courthouse wedding. The thing is, you have TONS of options when it comes to eloping with me as your guide.

So whether you envision an EPIC voyage with just you two, an intimate destination weekend with your besties, or something completely different, not only will I help bring your dream wedding to life, you’ll look back on a planning experience free of stress and with no regrets.

Frequently Asked Questions
(+ Totally Valid Concerns)

I take terrible pictures! Can you really make me look amazing in my wedding photos?!

While it’s true that the folks featured on my website and in my portfolio are really, really, ridiculously good-looking, they’re also 100% real-life couples. Almost all of them expressed this totally valid concern at some point. “Modeling” can feel awkward af!

The truth is you’ll be amazed at how good you look in your pictures. By spending time getting to know you as a couple, I’m able to embrace how you and your sweetie organically interact with each other and capture your true personalities. I’ll also give you playful prompts (not poses!) that’ll result in tons of laughter, all the emotions, and—trust me—some seriously flattering images.

I consider myself an artist, not just behind the lens or the laptop, but also in the field with you. Couples love working with me, and I believe the final images reflect that.

What exactly is an adventure elopement?

An elopement is any intentionally intimate wedding that ditches the preconceived notion of what your big day should be in favor of what you want it to be. Given Colorado’s staggering beauty, I encourage couples who are also self-proclaimed “adventurers.” But again, your day is about crafting an authentic, stress-free experience that happens exactly when, where, and how you both want it to.

After a decade of photographing weddings of all sizes, I made the conscious decision to focus on elopements (up to 10 guests) and micro weddings (up to 25 guests). Tie the knot with just the two of you or a small group of family and friends—either way, it’s about designing a unique experience you’ll enjoy and remember for the rest of your lives.

Are you a certified outdoor guide?

Nope! I like to be completely transparent about this. While I am an experienced backpacker, serious trail runner, and badass snowboarder, if your dream wedding weekend involves rafting, snowmobiling, paragliding, mountaineering, helicopter rides or other extreme sports, I’m going to recommend you hire an official guide. It’s important to support the small mountain towns in which I work, and I have folks I can recommend for all sorts of adventurous activities.

What if we’re not that into hiking?

No biggie! Colorado is full of stunning scenery that’s accessible by many other means. I would never suggest you do something you’re not comfortable doing, especially on such an important day. I’ll help you find the perfect place to exchange your vows—no traction spikes required.

Do we need a wedding planner?

One of the great things about eloping is how intentional you get to be with your budget. As your elopement expert, I’m very involved throughout the whole process. This might look like securing permits, sending you packing lists, crafting your timeline, and trading sandals with you when yours are too slippery for the trail.

With my extensive knowledge of the best elopement locations, local wedding vendors, area activities, must-try restaurants, etc. etc., you’ll likely find that you won’t need a wedding planner. That said, if you already have a designated planner, I am more than happy to work with them.

Will you photograph our LGBTQIA2S++ elopement?

YES—absolutely! It breaks my heart that I even need to include this question. Love is love. I celebrate diversity in all forms. Any vendors I work with will have already pledged to be a safe space for all couples, and I would be honored to photograph your intimate—but EPIC—queer wedding!

What if we don’t have a location picked out?

No plan yet? No problem! This is my specialty. As an outdoors enthusiast (an understatement) I’ve scouted so many sites across the American Southwest and beyond. I’ll know what time of day has the best light (and which side of the canyon!), how many people are likely to be there, and what kind of weather you can expect. If you still haven’t chosen “the spot,” I have an extensive guide to help you find a ceremony location that will perfectly align with your vibe.

Do we really need all-day coverage?

The fact that newlywed couples’ number one regret is not having more time with their photographer kind of says it all! Having me at your elopement or micro wedding the whole day allows you to re-live it for the rest of your lives. You’re able to share with your loved ones the entire story of the incredible adventure you had that day or days.

Imagine looking at your wedding album and seeing the raw, intimate, and playful moments I captured for you. Think those are forced poses? Nope! The way I’m able to capture that is by having the time to document everything and everyone.

On that note, I promise it will not feel like an all-day photoshoot. There will be no "Ok, now look at the camera again and smile!” You want to be able to tell the authentic, uninhibited, unabridged story of your wedding day—especially if you plan to share with folks far and wide after the fact.

Do we need to book an officiant?

Not unless you want to! Colorado allows self-solemnization (fancy words meaning the two of you are your own witnesses and therefore don’t need an officiant). You can sign your own paperwork and call it a day. (A very special day!) However, some couples prefer that an officiant speak and “perform” the ceremony. This can be a friend or family member, or someone hired.

Outside of Colorado, the sitch is a little different. See my Moab Elopement Guide for Utah’s elopement rules and my tips for international marriages in the Patagonia Elopement Guide.

Are you willing to travel?

YES! If it works with my schedule, I'm always game to travel anywhere my clients want to adventure! If you want to shoot at your vacation home in the mountains, one of my secret getaways, or any of the amazing resort areas Colorado is famous for... let’s go!

Thinking bigger? I’m now booking Patagonia elopements! It doesn’t get more epic than that. So yes, you could say I’m more than willing to travel. Plus, my packages include all photographer travel fees. Win-win!

How early should we book you?

Elopements can be as simplistic or extravagant as you’d like. That said, they’re usually not spur-of-the-moment ceremonies that can be conceived in the morning and executed by the late afternoon. I recommend at least 6-9 months of planning. Especially if you want to secure the location of your dreams in the high season (spring to fall). That said, if you’re just a few months out from your desired date, call me ASAP and we’ll work some magic ;)

How do we book you?

It’s super simple. Reach out and let me know what date(s) you’re thinking! If I’m available, we’ll set up an initial video chat so we can discuss your ideas and gauge if we’re gonna be a good fit! Then, once you sign a contract, you’ll pay the retainer, and we get started with the fun part—getting to know one another and coming together to create the day of your dreams!

How and when do we pay?

I require a retainer of 50% at the time of booking to hold your date. The rest is due 30 days before your big day. Package pricing covers the personalized consultation, the planning and preparation, my time during the hours you’ve booked, the image preparation, and the final, edited, high-resolution digital images. Please note that the photography fee does not include any physical products.

Do you offer prints as well as digital files?

I do! Digitals are included in my package pricing. I also offer a variety of prints, canvases, and photo album options, so you can proudly display your photos in your home, and flip through keepsake albums with future generations.

How and when will we get our digital photos, prints, and custom products?

You’ll get five digital “sneak peeks” within a week after your wedding. My contract guarantees a 4 to 6 week turnaround for your fully edited, high-resolution digital photos (but I usually have them to you within 4). When they’re ready, you’ll get your fully edited, high-resolution digital photos via an online gallery. From there you can download, print, and share your photos with family and friends as much as you want.

If you decide to purchase prints, albums or other custom products, I will assist you with image selection. Depending on your final selections, your custom products will be ready 4 to 6 weeks after the sales appointment. You will be notified by telephone or e-mail when your order is ready for pickup or delivery. Payment for your order is due in full when you select your products.

How many photos will we get?

How many photos you get all depends on which package you book (more hours = more photos), but in general, you’ll receive 40-50 fully edited photos per hour you’ve booked.

Will you edit every photo?

Yes. Every photo gets edited, but will remain natural-looking and true to the day. I might lighten shadows or make subtle adjustments that help the landscapes pop. However, I do not use filters, so your images remain timeless, and I don’t retouch hair, skin, or bodies. Your photos will be accurate representations of this momentous time in your lives.

Why should we choose you? What makes you different?

Great question! Adventure elopements have become supremely popular, which is amazing for the entire industry, but I know this also means you have tons of options when shopping for a photographer. Here’s what makes me different:

  • I’m CPR/First Aid certified. Hopefully we won’t need those skills, but I’m prepared just in case.
  • I practice and educate about Leave No Trace principles. I strive to be a more environmentally sustainable business.
  • I have nearly a decade of experience in the wedding photography industry, and have been an active member of Professional Photographers of America (PPA) since 2012.
  • I donate a percentage of my profits to protecting our environment and providing clean, accessible water and sanitation to communities in need.
  • I’m bilingual (English y Spanish)!
  • Clients LOVE working with me! Just check out my Google Reviews for proof!
