A Radiant, Laughter-Filled Elopement in Torres del Paine, Patagonia

During an afternoon elopement celebration on the water's edge in Torres del Paine, Patagonia, the bride and groom smile joyfully as he pops a bottle of champagne in his green suit and she stands to the right holding custom cups in her beautiful dress

Romantic Sunrise Portraits and Epic Lakeside Vows

J and M’s love story is one filled with serendipitous coincidences and auspicious happenstance. Although they were both living in Victoria, Canada, at the time, they met in Ontario while interviewing with physiotherapy schools. Remarkably, J and M had the same interview slots at two different schools, and they traveled to each location together on the bus. Talk about a happily-fated meet-cute!

Over time, J and M fell for each other. They share a similar approach to life in that they both work– and adventure–hard; and they are both a little “crazy”. M has scuba-dived with bull sharks in Fiji; J has hiked for 40 days, alone, through America’s national parks.

When it came time for the next big step, fate intervened yet again. M had planned to pop the question in Banff. Alas, on the way there, they had to deboard from their plane, and their trip got canceled. Undeterred, the two booked a cabin at the last minute in the Cascade Mountains of British Columbia. There, while hiking around Lightning Lake in the snow, M proposed.

J wanted to elope in Patagonia for a long time– a dream and wish that preceded even her relationship with M. Thus, they arranged to celebrate their big day in Torres del Paine, their “number 1 bucket list destination”, for peak season in March.

The day dawned bright and clear.  J and M took in the sunrise and shared their first look right outside of the park. They each looked effortlessly stunning: J, in her fit-and-flare gown with flowery, vintage vibes and a matching halo headband; and M in his muted-tone green suit. Everything– the light glimmering majestically on the snow-capped mountains; the silvery, incandescent clouds; the jubilant mood– seemed absolutely celestial.

J and M trekked to Lago Grey for portraits by the shore. Then, after hiking further along to the banks of Lago Pehoe, J and M, framed dramatically and beautifully by the craggy Cuernos del Paine, exchanged their vows. J and M spent the rest of the day reveling in the majesty of the wild, pristine beauty all around them and toasted to their new lives with a bubbly bottle of champagne.

The entire day was all about love, joy, and connection. It was replete with laughter and effervescence, which is a perfect reflection of these two– J, whose bright and peppy orange shoes were a genuine mirror of her bright spirit, and M, whose infectious smile and enamored gaze were a beacon of his love for his new bride.

¡Felicidades J+M!

B + G’s Snowy Winter Wedding in Torres del Paine

During a sunrise first look in Patagonia, the bride stands behind the groom with a bright smile on her face as she prepares to walk to her fiance, who is out of focus to the right, in front of the camera, wearing a green suit.
The moment of their first look where the groom has turned around and sees his beautiful bride and closely examines her gorgeous lace dress with his arms out before grabbing her hands and coming in for a hug. The pink jagged mountains glow behind them
A shot of the couple holding hands and out-of-focus as they look off into the distant mountains behind them that absolutely shine during a pink sunrise haze.
A photo of the bride and groom holding each other's hands while spinning around in a circle, having the time of their lives. They do so on the edge of the water while the sun slowly rises.
Standing on the base of a two trunk tree, the bride stands on the connecting trunk that rest on the ground, and the groom holds her hips as the sun glows on them from the right and the mountains watch to the left.
A moment on the road where a herd of wild horses travel down the road, coming at the camera. They range from white with brown spots, cinnamon brown, and dark brown in color.
Shot from behind, the bride and groom hold hands as they walk a dirt trail to their ceremony spot by a different part of the water.
A close up shot of the couple's hands holding their vow books as they stand across each other by the lake. Here you can clearly see the beautiful floral details on the gown and their dazzling jewelry, like her sparkling ring and his glimmering watch.
At the end of their intimate ceremony on the water, the bride is seen putting the ring on her groom's hand as the jagged grey mountains fill the sky behind them.
As they go in for their first kiss, the bride and groom hold each other closely, faces just barely touching as they smile deeply and savor this epic moment.
Here, the newlyweds walk away from the water with their hands on the air, celebrating their union in this magical location that the bride always dreamed of.
As the newlyweds travel throughout the area, they were climbing a dirt mound and the groom holds her hand as she holds his with her left hand and the train of her dress with the right hand. Behind them the scenery is beautiful and wildly contrasting
While standing on the edge of rocks on the water, the bride and groom are seen from above as they hold their arms up in the air looking away towards the mountains in the background. Here, the celebrate and thank Patagonia for the beautiful day.
A closer image of the bride and groom standing on the edge of this rocky outstretch on the water as she holds her dress train in the air and he holds her closely from her waist, a romantic moment indeed. The blue of the water ripples around them.

Congratulations, J + M!
