Breckenridge Elopement
Kristy + Shannon met through mutual family friends. They were both previously married and met each other not long after both of their divorces. They hit it off and have enjoyed traveling and spending time together for almost six years. Kristy has a son and daughter and two grandchildren, and Shannon has a daughter the same age as Kristy’s son. The couple had so much in common and were in similar stages of their lives. It felt so right to become engaged!
By the time this Breckenridge elopement rolled around, Kristy + Shannon had been engaged for almost three years! They had tried to plan a wedding a few different times, but something always came up: kids graduating, grandkids being born, work…. Eventually they decided to not overthink it and just DO it! They decided on a small Sapphire Point elopement in beautiful Breckenridge, Colorado, and I’d say it was the perfect choice.
The day of the elopement was nice and bright with a ton of sunlight beaming down on this white winter wonderland. The warmth made our ceremony time outdoors much more bearable for these Southerners! (Kristy + Shannon are from from Andalusia, Alabama!) After the ceremony, we headed to the iconic Sapphire Point for couples portraits (Shannon was cracking me up the whole time!), and then finally back to the hotel for cake cutting and refreshments. They were so fun and sweet to hang out with, and I felt like part of their family at the end of the day.
