Winter Wedding in Torres del Paine

 B + G’s snow-covered ceremony was genuinely breathtaking.

B and G immersed themselves into the deep snow of Patagonia for one of the most magical weddings I’ve ever seen! As avid hikers with a goal of hiking the tallest peak in every state, it made sense that they were drawn to the towering mountains of Torres del Paine National Park. With their daughter and a close group of family and friends, they celebrated their marriage in a winter wonderland of South America

They stayed at Hotel Lago Grey in the park, and we did a first look at sunrise. B’s dress, an absolutely breathtaking Rue de Seine, was truly one-of-a-kind and her beauty brought G to tears. Wrapped in a Patagonia fleece, of course, she stayed cozy on the chilly winter day. We then walked to a snowy meadow where the couple exchanged their vows, just the two of them. As the sunlight broke through the clouds, the snow glittered all around them

They later met their awaiting guests against the backdrop of a stunning snow-covered landscape for a short ceremony officiated by their best friend. This enchanting scene unfolded amidst a historic snowstorm, closing the park for the first time in two decades. Undeterred, the day unfolded at the Lago Grey Hotel, and it was spectacular! With a big blue sky, warmer temperatures, and unbelievable views, it felt like we were in a dream. There’s beauty around every corner when everything is covered in a fresh blanket of snow.

Adaptability became key as the conditions fluctuated, and with the couple remaining open to suggestions, a seamless timeline emerged. While we had limited access to different locations, B+G went with the flow, and it turned out perfectly. See my review from the bride:

“Firstly I can’t begin to express how grateful I am to have stumbled across Andrea’s page on google. Andrea was the first person that popped up when I searched Patagonia elopement/wedding (first sign of making a life changing decision). Secondly I have had to keep pinching myself because it almost doesn’t seem real that we all met. From seeing Andrea’s wild hair at the terminal B bar in ATL, our daughter immediately going in for a hug (rare but I think she has great intuition) and third, I went to Torres Del Paine NP with a wonderful coordinator/photographer and left with what I feel is a sister. It honestly didn’t even feel like I was with a stranger but rather family that just so happens to love photography.

From the first video conference to the thoughtful questionnaires to the itinerary to the many days we all spent together it just seemed to flow organically and when weather hiccups arose Andrea sprang to action providing choices and solutions!

Andrea is such a gem and it’s just the cherry on top that she happened to have captured our magical elopement!” - B

The day was not over yet; after popping bottles in the snow, everyone went inside for the reception to drink, feast, and laugh until they cried! I applaud the staff at Lago Grey for doing such a great job bringing B+G’s vision to life for the celebration. Their work was the icing on the cake for an incredible day. By my side was the talented Bruno with ARJ Film who captured all the special moments for the couple to rewatch for years to come. Filled with joy and adventure, this dreamy winter elopement sparkled with deep snow, tall mountains, and everlasting love.
